Affable, dedicated Devlin O'Ryan grew up in the Irish settlements of Xanthu and was attempting to follow in his journalist mother's footsteps by joining the Daily Planet as a cub reporter. A misadventure with Legionnaire Tenzil Kem has given Devlin the power to reflect back on his attackers any force that threatens him.
