The quiet, eccentrically brilliant Kent Shakespeare gained powers of extreme strength, speed, near-invulnerability, and vision powers after inexplicably surviving an attack by a mysterious virus. He joined the Legion shortly after the great economic collapse but was forced to flee to avoid prosecution on trumped-up charges.
